• From Warhammer 40,000 – Tau/ Kroot Army

Disclaimer: I’ve never played Tau. I don’t really care for the “great good” mantra, the designs are ok but the Kroot are the real interest here for me.

As a kid Star Wars was a big deal and The Phantom Menace had recently come out. Guess what; the Tau had come out recently too! Now, in my young mind, the Tau were the Droids and the Kroot were the Gungans… and yes, this did make me want them more. I have no idea if I’m the only person who saw whatever the loose connection between the Tau and that movie but I really hope it’s not just me!

Needless to say, I never bought any Tau back in the day (I was too busy dipping Space Marines into Chaos Black to make them Black Templers) but I was very kindly gifted them by a friend when they left the hobby. So thanks go out to Alan, Alex and Andrew for their extensive collection of Tau (and other factions), your generosity will never be forgotten!
