Arche: Part 3

Well, I'm ok about it now but it was like having a lucid dream at the time. I was confused and a little bit upset but not angry. I'm somewhat sensible and understand that if a game isn't selling well, good will and a loving community aren't going to save it from being axed no matter how much a company may want to continue supporting it.

By the sound of it, it was made even more bitter-sweet as GW started bringing out new models and books and giving WFB a really good push during its final death spasms. That's a shame but I missed it all, oh well.

***Fast-forward again to today***

I am very, very good at picking up one model from a set of (maybe) hundreds. I paint it. I move on. I repeat this cycle and I STILL can't play any of the cool games I've bought over the past five years or so which is becoming a bit of a problem.

I decided to do "groups of three" for my Instagram account to try and make it more desirable to me to paint more than one mini of a type at a time. This doesn't seem to have helped.

So. To help make me paint all my backlog of unpainted minis, I've decided to buy more minis and paint them instead! I know how that sounds and you're probably right but hear me out (right?)…

…I try and paint EVERY. SINGLE. MODEL. to the highest standard I can achieve, which is not a bad thing as such but now I actually want to finish something bigger. I want an army. A fantasy army.

I want rat-things. Skaven. Seraphon killers.

So, with that said, I will be trying to buy, build and paint an entire Skaven army this year. Think of it as a one man "Tale of Warlords" like they do in White Dwarf or in the GW local shops.

Now I've said it I've got to do it so please follow me on this little journey into the Under-Empire and wish me luck! (I'm going to need it!)

With all that said; I'd love to hear about your armies, especially if like me, you have decided to start a new army this year! Good luck to you and don't be a stranger.

Yours,

Forever in horror,

Poison226
